Rockies Fest!!!

As most of you know, Matt and I LOVE baseball, so we could not have been more excited when Matt's boss gave us tickets to "Rockies Fest"!!! This meant we had the chance to see some players up close and get some autographs - we couldn't wait!!

With your tickets to the festival you're guaranteed two autographs, but you don't know by who. We both had our dream list of players but we didn't want to get our hopes us. The first tickets we had lead us to a certain room at a certain time... turned out it was to get an autograph from stud shortstop, Troy Tulowitzki!! It was a great start to the day. :)

Question and answer session with the pitchers.

First Rockies Dog of the season!

The next autograph we got was from one of our star pitchers, Jeff Francis! We totally scored!!

Only a few more months until first pitch! Can't wait!!

Wedding Season 2010! Lesley & Nate

Next up - Minneapolis for Lesley & Nate's wedding on January 16th. We were very excited to be heading back to MN to visit family as well! We stayed with Jess and Kelly and my parents also came for the wedding. It was so great to see everyone!

Les and Nate definitely lucked out with the weather as it was in the 30's and sunny all weekend! It was really pretty! Rehearsal was Friday night followed by a dinner at Vic's on the Mississippi River.

Saturday was the big wedding day! They had a beautiful ceremony in a church on the U 0f M campus followed by pictures outside (brrr!) and the reception on the top floor of the Minneapolis Science Museum. It was a very cool reception location with beautiful views of the city! The DJ was great and everyone had a blast! Congrats Lesley & Nate Miller!! You two are such a great couple and we could not be more happy for you!

Licia (also prego) & I and our sparkling cider..

Wedding Season 2010! Lara & Bobby

I’ve never been to a winter wedding before, but this year we went to three in a month! All of them were very different from each other, but they were all gorgeous and a ton of fun!!

First stop – San Diego (Coronado Island) for Lara and Bobby’s wedding on January 9th. What a beautiful location for a wedding! We couldn’t have been more excited for the trip so we decided to arrive a few days early and enjoy the beautiful weather and spend some extra time with friends.

It all started on the Wednesday before the wedding. We rented a house with four other couples – Nance & Andy, Ang & Matt, Jackie & Casey, and Mogs & Esby. It was a blast! First thing on the agenda - the guys stocked the fridge with booze. They were pretty proud of themselves... I’m sure a picture was even taken. Ha. Luckily they left a little bit of room in the fridge for the groceries that the girls picked up.

That night Matt and I met up with his long time friend, Brad, and his wife, Jana, who came down to visit us from their home in Corona Del Mar. Jana is also prego so the baby talk was in full force! :) It was so great to catch up with them and to share the experiences of our pregnancy journeys so far! In the following pics Jana was 20 weeks along and I was 23.

Thursday all of the housemates did a little sightseeing during the day and then hit up the San Diego night life for Lara's bachelorette party! The bachelorette party started as “girls only” at a wine bar for wine tasting (the N/A wine was very good as well :) hosted by Lara’s sis and MOH, Joanna. Later that night we met up with the guys and found a bar with a live band. Lara got serenaded by the lead singer a few times and everyone danced until they dropped. It was a blast!

Friday we hit up the beach on the island – so beautiful! That night was the wedding rehearsal and dinner which was hosted by Bobby’s parents at Costa Azul. Yum!

Saturday was the big day!! The wedding (and not to mention, bride) were beautiful!! The ceremony was followed by another night of great food, friends and dancing. Everyone had a blast and the bride and groom looked super happy! Congrats Lar & Bobby Deppisch!! So happy for you two!
