Go Avalanche!

Matt and I don't really know anything about hockey (besides following the Buff Sabres. Go Sabes!) but when he was offered tickets to an Avalanche playoff game in a suite we were pumped!! Playoff atmosphere for any sport is so exciting! The game was way past my bedtime, which really isn't that late when you're super prego, but it was definitely worth it! We had a great time!!

The other couple that came with us. ;)

Right in the action... Go Av's!

38 weeks preggers.

My belly makes an excellent table. I had to concentrate really hard not to laugh because it's also very jiggly! We're such good parents already. ;)

Thank You!!

Our baby already has more clothes than I do! ;) Thank you so much to all of our friends and family who have given us hand-me-downs and baby gifts! We really appreciate it and don't know what we'd do without you! A special thanks to my sisters, Jessica and Andrea, and friends, Kelly & Erica, Bob & Kristin, and Jeff & Ivonne as they've been very generous with their hand-me-downs. Our baby has also been given a ton of toys and gear so thank you to everyone who has helped us out with that as well! Now all we need is a baby. :) Can't wait!

37 Weeks...

... and feeling huge! :) Only 23 days left to go. I can't believe we'll have a baby so soon! We're pumped to meet our little guy!!

Baseball!

Baseball season is here!!! Wohoo! Matt and I went to a game opening weekend. Go Rockies! Here we are "pre-partying" at The Great Divide... ;)

Our seats weren't the best, but we were just happy to be in the stadium...

Benefit of sitting in the nose bleeds...

The Rocks are doing great this year and we just love them. I would also like to give a shout out to my other favorite team - the Twins!! I'm very excited that they just dominated the Red Sox!!

Big baby..... oh boy.

Matt and I went to our 36 week appointment on Tuesday and we got some interesting baby measurements. As it was before, our baby still has a big head. Yikes! It's about 3 weeks bigger than it should be. He also has long legs. I'll take credit for the long legs, but I'm blaming Matt for the big head! hehe. The ultrasound tech did a bunch of other measurements on the baby and calculated his weight... he's almost 7 lbs already!! I was actually closer to 35.5 weeks along at this appointment and at this point the baby should weigh about 5.5 lbs. With 4 weeks to go (please don't let me go past my due date!) the doc calculated his birth weight to be 8.5-9 lbs. Ahhh! This is really making me nervous! My hips have been aching lately and that's a sign that they're widening... I hope they get wide enough for my jumbo baby to make it through! ... and then go back to normal size after. ;)

Matt thought he was being funny this morning when he sent me the following picture... not so funny when you're the one who has to give birth to this big head baby! It actually did make me laugh though. Ha.
No new ultrasound pics this time (sorry!) but I did take a belly shot this morning. Here I am at 36 weeks. :)

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! Christ has risen, he has risen indeed! What a wonderful and uplifting holiday Easter is. For the last couple of years Matt and I have celebrated this beautiful holiday at a very beautiful location that is only miles from our house - Red Rocks Amphitheater. The sunrise service at this venue is absolutely breathtaking as it faces the east and the sun rises behind the stage. It was a chilly morning, but the sun was shining so bright that it gave you goose bumps as it reminded you of this beautiful world that we're blessed to live in because of all of the sacrifices Jesus made for us. I know it's probably not okay to take pictures during a church service, but I couldn't resist... at least I turned off my flash and was kind of sneaky about it. Here are a few pics from during the service..
There were many other people who decided to spend their Easter morning at Red Rocks as well... 12,000 to be exact. As we were leaving I snapped this quick pic of the people sitting behind us. It was such a beautiful and inspirational service that I'm so glad we could experience it with so many people. It was also our baby's first time at Red Rocks... I think he liked it. :)
