Two Week Trick!

Bodee learned a new trick on his bouncy chair today! He usually just sits in the chair sans the toy bar, but today we decided to put the bar with the animals on to see what would happen. Before too long he learned how to bump the animals to make the waterfall light up and songs play. Mom and Dad were very impressed! ... ok, maybe we're blinded by love, but that's pretty cool at two weeks, right? Check out the video below...

Like Father, Like Son

The comment that we've heard countless times (probably second to "Look at all that blond hair!") is "He looks so much like Matt!" Although most agree that he's a "Mini-Matt" I'd like to take at least half of the credit. ;) I've scanned in a baby picture of Matt to compare to Bodee, and wow, they really do look alike! Both are very handsome. :) See if you can guess who is who...

Bodee is Here!!!!

Bodee Christopher Hagstrom made his appearance into this world on May 15th, 2010 at 4:54 pm. He was 8lbs 14oz, 21.5" long and had a 14.5" head.... he's a big boy. :) He's such a joy - we just love him so much! Here are a few pics from his first (almost) week of life...

Ready to rock...

First look at Dad!

Ah! Love at first sight. He's perfect.

First family photo.

He's just the cutest.

Finally home!

Meeting his new pal, Mookie.

The past week has flown by! I wish time would slow down and he'd stay this little forever. He's such a great baby and all of the nurses are very impressed by how well he is doing. He's such a great sleeper, eater (and pooper) and is really strong. I'm one proud mama... if you couldn't tell. :) Oh, and everyone loves all of his blond hair. Look out ladies, here comes Bodee!

Just Shy of the Majors

Last night I went to one of Matt's league baseball games. Yes, I was 40 weeks + 2 days prego, and no, the bleachers weren't even that uncomfortable. :) Matt's team did great! Here are a few action shots...

Matt getting ready to slug it out of the park.

Stann, I felt the wind on that one.

Playing it cool.

Bo throwing the heat.

Out at 1.

Good game fellas.

There's an end in sight!

Matt and I went to the doctor yesterday for our 40 week appointment. Our due date isn't until Saturday, May 8th, but we wanted to go in a bit early to make sure everything with the babe is okay.

As many of you mothers out there know, the baby moves around less the farther you get in your pregnancy because they have less room... well, it can be scary to not feel the constant movements that reassured you all through your pregnancy that your baby is okay. ... especially for a first time prego! When we went to the doc they hooked me up to a movement and contraction monitor for 20 min. Our babe was pretty calm at first, and then they gave me some oj and he started dancing! I didn't have any contractions but they thought his movement was great. They then did an ultra sound to check my fluid levels and said that I have a ton of fluid and that was great as well. They also measured the size of the baby to get a weight measurement. After hearing that our baby was almost 7 lbs at our 36 week appointment we were very anxious to hear how big he was this time! It was pretty hard for the doc to get measurements because he is so big and compact in my belly, but she estimated him to be around 8 lbs. Phew, I'll take that! I was nervous he would be 10! The doc did say that the weight calcs are pretty accurate within 15%, so our babe could be a pound or so bigger or smaller, but I think I'll sti
ck with 8. That sounds okay.

They scheduled our next appointment for Monday and also scheduled an induction date! I REALLY hope I have the baby before I need to be induced, but if I go that long I'll be induced on the night of the 14th and will hopefully have our baby on the 15th. Yes, there is an end in sight! I could have ou
r baby any day now, and believe me, I'm trying every home remedy for induction that I know of, but knowing that I for sure won't be pregnant after May 15th is a big relief. AND, I can't wait to meet our little guy!!! So, all went well at our appointment yesterday and both Matt and I are feeling much more relieved that our baby is okay. Maybe being less stressed will help me have my baby? ... I'm hoping for anything. :) Time to go for a walk..

Here's the latest pic of me and my ginormous belly taken a few days ago..

I also thought it'd be fun to post a few baby pics of Matt and me to imagine what our little guy will look like. Matt is just the cutest little thing ever!
