The Face of Caried Away Custom Tie Dyes...

... for August, anyway. :)

Matt's friend from high school, Carie Vourron, is the owner of this company, so naturally when Bodee was born she gave him a tie dyed onesie! When I saw it I thought "Buffalo Bills colors!" ...ok, so I really thought "Twins colors", but don't tell Matt. ;)

Since the onesie was such a cute handmade gift, I thought it'd be fun to take a pic of Bodee in it to send to Carie to say thanks. I then thought that since the onesie is the colors of the Bills that I'd throw Billy Buffalo, the Buffalo Bills mascot (very original name, I know) in the picture as well because Bodee is already a huge Bills fan. That gene runs strong in the Hagstrom line. :) Little did we know, Carie would post the picture of Bodee on her website! Too cute and funny! Minnesota!!

Last week Bodee and I took a 10 day trip to MN! :) I was super excited to go home and see all my family and friends, and I was also excited for them to meet B! It was quite a fun filled and jam packed week - check out the pics below..

Friday night - Ang's Bachelorette party! We had a great night out downtown Minneapolis! Thanks Jess and Kelly for babysitting. :)


The next day we headed to Alex and then to our cabin. We didn't hit up the lake as it was rainy with tornado warnings (yikes!) but we did get in some good bonding time with a few of "The Johnsons." Here's a pic with a few of my cousins..


Sunday we went to the Lubben family reunion (Mom's side) in Wheaton. Four generation pic..

Happy 4th of July!!

Happy 4th of July! ... celebrated on the 3rd. :) That night was Bodee's first time "party-hopping." ha. We started out at the Hooper's (thanks for having us!), then hit up Solterra for a catered party and to watch the Bandimere fireworks (and not to mention had a to-die-for view of the sunset), then after-partied at our place. Baby monitors were a great invention. ;) Being from MN I've only seen fireworks set off over a lake.. fireworks with the mountains as the backdrop are just as gorgeous! Very cool! It was a great night - below are some pics.

On the 4th of July we decided to go for a hike. Well, Matt decided and encouraged me to get my lazy butt of the couch and go with him. We hiked a trail on Mt. Falcon. Very cool! We followed the "Castle Trail" which lead us to the remains of what once was the castle/home of John Walker in the early 1900's. This trail also lead us to the "Summer White House", a project which was fronted by John Walker but was never completed. The foundation and cornerstone were built but that's about it.... still very cool to see the site of where past presidents would have hung out at! Oh, and this was Bodee's first hike... he's experiencing a lot of "firsts" these days.
